Lampshade Making Workshops

that is unique to you! Why not join us in making your very own lampshade in our next workshop.

During a Milly & Monty Lampshade Making Workshop you will learn how to make a beautiful lampshade. Your creation will be made to a professional standard, for less than the cost of buying a quality lampshade on the High Street. You will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece, the skills to go on to make more, having had a very cheery time indeed!

Workshop Content

  • Preparing your space, lampshade kit, tools and fabric.


  • Positioning fabric, accommodating for any pattern repeat.


  • Adhering the fabric to the lampshade laminate panel.


  • Preparing the lampshade rings, rolling them onto the panel, professionally tucking the fabric in, closing the seam and finishing the shade to a professional standard.


  • Discussion on other lampshade shapes and sizes, double-sided lampshades, adding trimmings, choosing different coverings and how to re-make a Drum Lampshade.


  • All lampshade component parts and required tools will be supplied.


  •  Complementary refreshments included.


  • Own fabric required.


If your fabric is patterned, you may need a longer length of fabric in order to ‘centre’ the pattern - please get in touch if you have any questions about your fabric choice.
